5th Annual Strikes Against Stroke – Huge Success

Our 5th Annual Strikes Against Stroke, “A Night in the Caribbean” was a huge success, thanks to the amazing turnout and support from all our attendees and sponsors. The night kicked off at the Rio Hondo Event Center in Downey, California with mingling on the patio over the silent auction and treasure chest prizes. Later on, guests were treated to dinner and stroke survivor Cheryl Ming was honored for her post stroke feats, in which she overcame Locked-In-Syndrome and attained a Bachelor and Master’s Degree.

Renowned Emcee Chuck Dukas then led the night with auctions and entertainment, and President Deborah Massaglia honored the late Diane Manarino by raising money for her Memorial Fund.

Thanks to the outstanding work of the staff, Chuck Dukas, and the amazing sponsors and donors of our event, we were able to raise a large sum of money that will fuel our programs well into next year. We thank everyone for their support and attendance. Photos of the event will be live soon.
